We are pleased to announce a new project by N-thalpie GmbH: the development and implementation of horizontal shell-and-tube heat exchangers for an oil refinery in Austria.
The heat exchangers are being specifically designed for the demanding operating conditions of the refinery.
Some key technical data from the current design:
- Thermal duty: approx. 1.75 MW per heat exchanger
- Configuration: horizontal, counter-current flow
- Tube-side mass flow rate: approx. 125,000 kg/h
- Shell-side mass flow rate: approx. 41,500 kg/h
The shell-side fluid is cooled from approx. 70 °C to 33.7 °C. At the same time, the tube-side fluid is heated from approx. 24.2 °C to 36.2 °C. The thermal duty is approximately 1,748 kW.
